This position entails planning, managing and delivering offline marketing initiatives not limited to events, production of marketing collaterals and actively looking for offline marketing opportunities for Boomplay in Kenya.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop event initiatives in line with the overall marketing strategy
  • Manage event budgets & disbursements
  • Ensure adherence to schedule and timely achievement and execution of event milestones
  • Manage the distribution of on-site collateral & giveaways
  • Work with the team on design and execution of collateral & promo items
  • Support the production & execution of marketing events
  • Report & presenting performance analysis for experiential activations & events
  • Liaise with the team to ensure content & event happenings are amplified via media channels
  • Recruit & manage campus ambassadors & online influencers
  • Identify sponsorships and partnerships in campuses for brand awareness purposes
  • Act as a link between Boomplay & Universities by providing key insights about campuses and students
  • Manage branding & on-ground activities at concerts, activations and live events such as branding set up & set down, BA recruitment & training etc
  • Manage merchandise inventories & distribution as needed
  • Provide administrative & operational support to the department 

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

  • Timely achievement & execution of marketing deliverables & event milestones 
  • Ensure event KPIs are met
  • Efficient management of events budget, marketing collaterals & merchandise
  • Efficient management of campus ambassadors/influencers  

Required Competencies and Attributes

  • Proven track record in event organisation, management and delivery
  • Ability to manage time & deadlines, prioritize and re-prioritize workload needed
  • Good communication (Verbal & Written), strong negotiation and
  • inter-personal skills Superb organizational and planning skills 
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced & dynamic industry
  • Superb problem-solving skills

Experience & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Project Management or any relevant field
  • 1-3 years of events management experience 
  • Experience in BTL activations will be a plus
